Interesting remark from a customer the other day. She comes into our store asking to try on fur stoles. The salesperson hands her a beautiful rex rabbit stole, with fox fur collar. She likes it, and asks if it’s plucked mink. No, says the salesperson, it’s a luxurious type of rabbit fur, called castor rex or rex rabbit. Immediately the customer throws of the stole saying: “No rabbit fur in my wardrobe! I don’t drive a Porsche either, but a Ferrari. Show me a mink stole.” To make the stroy complete I need to add that her Ferrari was parked in front of our door indeed.
My question about this is the following: if rex rabbit fur is a Porsche, and mink a Ferrari, then what is the sable jacket Naomi Campbell is wearing on the picture? A private jet? A yacht?
